Works on most OBDII Vehicles (1996+ in USA) and EOBD vehicles (Petrol cars from 2001+ and diesel cars from 2003/2004 in Europe) that use the compatible communication protocols listed above.
For your vehicle to be OBDII compliant it must have a 16-pin DLC (Data Link Connector) under the dash and the Vehicle Emission Control Information Label must state that the vehicle is OBDII compliant.
*NOTE: NOT compatible with the following Protocols:
SAE J1850 VPW - Used on older GM and Chrysler/Dodge vehicles before year 2008

1, install the CD or download the ScanTool (dot) net software.
2, the OBD-Ⅱ cable and the car ODB-Ⅱ interface connection.
3. Connect the OBD-II cable to the ELM327. At this point, the power light (light) will light, ODB TX / RX light will flash, indicating that the connection is normal.
4, the USB cable to the ELM327 connected with the computer. At this point the computer will prompt to find the new hardware, according to the computer prompts to install the CD or the network to download the USB driver. Into the computer's "Device Manager" click on the port, you will find the newly installed hardware "USB Serial Port", note the right COM number. (The COM number will be used in the next step in the software settings)
5, start ScanTool (dot) net software. Open the ScanTool (dot) netv1.13 for windows program, select the options item, select the COM number you typed in the previous step, and then OK. So that the software installation is complete, you can diagnose your vehicle
